Spring training is officially underway and Rookie Parker has arrived at the facility!It is with great pleasure that I announce the arrival of Edie Christine Parker, born on Valentine's Day 2013 (coincidentally, 16 years to the day of her parents' first kiss) at 1:39 pm, weighing in at 8 lbs 6 oz and 19.5" on the tape.
Edie is named after both of her paternal great-grandmothers: Edith Parker, currently residing in Poughkeepsie, NY and the late Christine McCall of Greenville, SC. Both mother and daughter have hit the showers and are doing fine.
The Rookie is ready to meet her brother/pitching coach and get this season underway. Play ball!
